Amy Irving ("Alias") and Cynthia Watros ("Lost") Guest-Star

Meanwhile, House takes Cuddy on a double date with Wilson and his girlfriend, Sam (guest star Cynthia Watros), and makes a discovery that proves that life imitates art as the couple continues to make compromises in order to make their relationship work in the all-new "Unwritten" episode of HOUSE airing Monday, Oct. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Guest Cast:

Quotes, Quotations, Dialogue, Scenes:
  • Chase has hired a new team member, Kelly Benedict, but everyone thinks he hired her because she is "hot" and seems like Cameron. She asks Chase about the hostility not just from House, "Dr. Foreman didn't seem to like me either."
"Oh well, he takes a litle while to warm up. In my case I'm hoping that year seven does the trick."

  • On the way out of House's Cuddy runs into his massage therapist and is surprised by the way she is dressed. She later learns that Brandi is also a hooker and demands that House get an new massage therapist. House goes to ge advise from Wilson as he is wont to do when trying to understand other people. "Let's say you had a really good handyman."
"I was hoping you would interrupt my cooking to aks about handymen. Do go on."
"Would Sam ask you to stop using him because you might have had a sexual relationship wiht him in the past?"
"Ah yes, the age old hooker massage conundrum. Cuddy might hav e mentioned something about it. Let's say you're right. Completely right aout everything. Give in anyway."
"This is not a pont of pride. This is a point of principle."
"Right. You're the Rosa Park of hooker massages."
"The principle is she's being irrational. If I give in on this, it sets the stage for the whole relationship."
"Putting up with irrationality is the foundation of every relationship. I agree with Sam when she's calling her father a monster. I agree with her when she's calling him a saint. And in return, I get to sex with her and I'm sure she has similar trade offs with me. Relationships are hard. You have to make sacrifices so sacrifice being crazy. Go get her a gift and apologize."
"You finally made a good point."
"Which you clearly misunderstood based on how quickly you agreed."

  • House does indeed make things worse and ends up agreeing with Wilson's contention that relationships are hard and require sacrifices. Later when the patient's husband asks House for advice after learning his wife has a serious mental illness by saying "This is not who I married.""
"Of cours she is. You just didn't know it."
"I don't know if I can stay with her."
"As your marriage counselor, I'm not allowed to talk to you without your wife present."
"Just tell me how hard it would be for us to handle this medically."
"Look if you want me to give you a reason to leave her, fine: apparentaly you haven't noticed but she has a serious mental illness."
       "It's too hard."
       "It's always hard."
