Spoilers for the Third Season of "House" with Hugh Laurie may come from several types of sources, none of which are totally reliable, not just because their information may be wrong but often just because when you get early information from say an early version of a script, you can rest assured that that information will change in later versions of the script and even during the filming process. Some information may come from journalists and others who hear from people who have heard from people who have heard from people who are involved in the writing or production of the "House" TV show — and we have all played that game.

- December 28, 2006: "BladeKnight" posted on the Television Without Pity's House Forum:
- Spoiler for Needle in a Haystack
"House pulls into the snow covered parking lot to find that a white wheel chair accessable van is in his handicapped parking spot. Naturally this makes him irritated so his first mission of the day is to find out who it belongs to. He's told it's owned by a new researcher whose name is Julie Whitner. Chase asks if she's hot. Anyway, House finds her in her lab - in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the waist down. She and House get into a snarky banter about his space needing to be close to the entrance because his leg hurts if he has to walk too far. She argues that because she's in a wheelchair, SHE needs to be closer to the front entrance. House sarcastically points out that all she has to do is push a little button on her chair propel it forward, so how hard can that be.
"House decides to use a wheelchair himself to try and get Cuddy to give him his parking space back. Naturally Wilson needles House that he is humiliting himself by doing so, including a scene in the bathroom where House has the wheelchair in a stall and Wilson tells him not to stand up because he's watching his feet. Heh.
"House and Julie have a few other snarky exchanges, including one that has House lamenting his ability to look down Cuddy's blouse, now that he's shorter than she is. Julie agrees that yes, Cuddy has nice ones. House retorts that she isn't going to win him over that easily. So, House is in the wheelchair to get his parking spot back, but he seems to be enjoying it, much to everyone's chagrin.
"He does run over some patrons toes and has a hallway wheelchair rumble with Julie"

@ 2006-12-18 "I go to USC and am currently a film student. One of the classes I took invites television writers, producers, actors, and directors to a private symposium. David Shore, Russell Friend, and two other TV writers on staff came to my class about a month ago to talk. I'd like to share what they said about the House/Wilson relationship":
- "...The writers acknowledged that they are entirely aware of the subtext they infuse in virtually every episode....
- "They want [to] parallel the relationship with Holmes and Watson.... they wanted to mirror the level of trust and loyalty between the two...."
- "They have seen the rampant fanfiction online, and they know the slash circle is quite large. They do not want to exclude us as an audience...."
- "Admittedly, the House and Wilson relationship is the most important relationship in the show to date."
"They made a disclaimer, however, that the Cameron/House relationship will come into play more later on. Unfortunately, they did not divulge any further information about how or why as that would spoil their plans for season 4...."
"David Shore said that the fall-out between House and Wilson is temporary. To surmise what he said (to the best of my memory): The fall-out has to be temporary. These two characters combined bring balance to the show's comedy and drama."
"When they pitted Wilson and House against one another, the balance was disrupted. This is evident through the tonal shift of season 3. The season suddenly became dark (darker than they intended), which is a testament to what happens when Wilson and House are not on a friendly basis. They had to test the friendship for the sake of House's personal growth as a character. To do this, they had to break away from the formula they set-up in seasons 1 and 2, even though that risked upsetting the audience. Quoting Russell 'we valued House's growth more than pissing off the audience....'"
In later comments, the above writer offered:
- "They admitted that writing Cameron is a lot harder than writing Wilson."
- "there are four writers on staff who support House/Wilson. Another segment on staff House/Cameron, and another segment House/Cuddy. It's a diverse staff that represents the audience itself."
- December 7, 2006 (2nd): "spidysense" posted on the Television Without Pity's House Forum:
- "Okay. Episode 15. No title yet. And all I can say is...when will the angst end?
"I'll go into the POTW later, but there is one scene where House is with a clinic patient and we see him drawing his own blood. He has her help out with the tourniquet. Anyway, apparently there is something wrong with House and he's dying. He wants his team to just let him be, but they won't of course. I don't know how or why this happens or what is wrong with him. Geesh....
"More about the POTW in ep 3.15
"It appears he's a 35 year old musical savant. He's mentally impared in all ways except musically. He can play anything, even after only hearing it once. Managed by his father, he gives piano concerts for a living. He can barely dress himself, but he's a virtuoso on the keyboards. Anyway, one night he is performing and he starts screwing up, which he never does and of course that leads him PPTH. It turns out the guy was injured years ago, leading to brain damage etc...House is intrigued by his musical ability and pushes a full sized keyboard into the guy's room. House starts playing 'Blackbird' by Paul McCartney, to which Patrick (the patient's name), responds by playing it perfectly. House then plays a complicated, cool jazz number - Patrick again plays the exact same thing. Then House plays something rich and complicated. Ditto. Except Patrick starts playing along *with* House, leading House to get an clue about something medically. (I do believe we see House playing "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin later on as well.) I won't go into the medicine etc..but House eventually figures out that if they remove half of Patrick's brain, he'll be able to lead a fairly normal life as a full person (something he cannot do right now), but he'll lose his musical ability. A choice is there to be made by Patrick and his father. Have an actual *life* or go on as you are - your only ability being the ability to play the piano."
- December 7, 2006 (1st): "Quadrivium" posted on the Television Without Pity's House Forum that "MaryKir has the promo up for S03E10.:
- "Coma Girl" responded on the Television Without Pity's House Forum: "If you look closely at the screen cap for the hand holding a prescription bottle, you can see that it's a Vicodin prescription written by Wilson for another patient. Is House stealing other patients' medications, now?"
But then "sasmom" posted seeing the prescription as "oxycodone. A very, very strong narcotic pain med used commonly in cancer patients."
But others agreed with "Quadrivium" thinking it said, "hydrocodone" (Vicodin).
"sasmom" posted an image of the bottle.

- "Isabelle: HOUSE: Let's star the night with some highly detailed spoilers! Episode 3.14 Insensitive: A young woman named Hannah is caught by the police while spray painting graffiti on a bridge and when her mother Cynthia picks her up from the police station, she begins to have hallucinations. Arguing with her daughter when Hannah begins to see and hear the same things over and over again, Cynthia doesn't see a snow plow in time to stop and hit it, causing them both to go to the hospital. House watches while Chase cleans her cuts and bruises and, intrigued when she rattles off information that a normal 16-year-old wouldn't know, asks her if she's heard of déjà vu. He tells her it's pretty common unless it's happening as often as it is with her. He looks at her lips, fingers and fingernails and mentions she has an extremely rare condition called CIPA, Congenital insensitivity to pain, which means she can't feel ANY pain. She and House compare scars and problems before House surprises her and drugs her so they can perform the tests needed that she won't sit still for. She continues to ask to see her mother, giving the doctors problems while they try and test and treat her. They finally operate and House pulls out a 25-foot long tapeworm, which has been causing some of Hannah's problems."

- November 24, 2006 (3rd): "spidysense" posted on the Television Without Pity's House Forum:
- "From 3.14:
The POTW has an inability to feel pain/sensation. (Hannah - teenage girl) She's antagonistic and stubborn, leading to a fun exchange between she and House to see who can top each other. She talks about how she has to check in the mirror every morning to make sure she didn't scratch her cornea in her sleep. House retorts that he checks in the mirror everyone morning to check his eyes for jaundice, in case "the Vicodin's finally shot my liver." She tells him she can't run anywhere without examing all ten toes for swelling. House says he "can't run." Hannah shoots back that her boyfriends can't hold her too long because her body overheats. House retorts that his girlfriends "can't hold me too long because I only pay for an hour." She ups the ante by saying she can't even tell when she has to go to the bathroom, and she has an alarm on her watch to remind her - which she only thought of after many humiliating experiences. House then gets right in her face and says "I got shot. Wanna see the wound?" He thinks he won, but she gives him an evil smile and says she sat on a stove when she was three. Does he want to see the coil marks?
She also socks House in the face, after she's faked him out while in the MRI machine.
She later falls off the second floor balcony, right in front of House and Foreman."

- "More spoilers for episode 3.13, 'One Day, One Room': House also deals with a waiting room full of people claiming to have runny noses and he then figures out that most are there for having an STD instead. A young woman, Eve, is one of the patients that comes in for an STD. They determine that she was raped and try and get her to see the psychiatrist. After Eve sees the psychiatrist, she grabs a bottle of sedatives and swallows them all, causing her to go into convulsions and have trouble breathing. After she comes around, House talks to her, under orders from Cuddy, about her rape, but she only wants to make small talk, hoping that will help her. After spending some time talking about things, Cuddy tells House that Eve is pregnant. They spend a long time together, talking about life and what happened to her, finally breaking down and both being honest."

Episode 3.13 - One Day, One Room: It's an episode full of strange patients claiming even stranger, and sometimes false ailments, such as the patient claiming he's had the hiccups for days in order to get a mysterious treatment and the man who groomed his nose hairs with toenail clippers and has athlete's foot in his nostrils. House begins to have fun with them, making them take their own pulse, hold down the tongue depressor, and feel their own rash. A homeless man comes in to try and get them to let him stay the night inside since it's cold outside and can't read the note that doctors at another hospital wrote last year that tells he has cancer. Cameron tries to give him medicine to make him more comfortable, but he refuses treatment, telling her he has no regrets about his life, causing her to be intrigued. More spoilers for this wacky episode next week!"
